Glossary
Learn about our naming conventions and commonly used terms.
Even though the Dutch educational system uses jargon that is difficult to translate, we use an English-first approach in our naming conventions. This improves developer usability and ensures consistency when working with our API or SDKs.
Some descriptions in our API Reference are in Dutch. These descriptions are shared between the OpenAPI document—used to generate the API Reference—and the Data Studio UI, where our content team maintains the data. Since our team’s native language is Dutch, we prioritize their UI hints over the OpenAPI specification.

To ensure that you do not have to infer the meaning of our terminology, we have included common terms in the glossary below.
This glossary is a work in progress. If you come across terms that are confusing and unexplained, please let us know and we’ll add them to the list.
